We pride ourselves in being "businessmen who happen to be accountants."
As such, we look to understand the business as a whole - Its' products, Its' supply chain, Its' cost structure, Its' pricing strategies, its' industry economics, etc. AND THEN we look at the numbers. The numbers are just a scorecard that should reflect the reality of the business - Where it has been and where it is going.
We interpret the numbers and give advice to the owners in words that they can "take to the bank."
We don't do bookkeeping. But we answer the bookkeeper's questions and look over their shoulders to help them keep the books accurately and timely.
We do prepare taxes of all sorts - individual, corporate, partnership, estates and trusts, nonprofits, etc. - but our special value added is our attention to tax planning to minimize taxes over the lifetime, not just one year at the expense of the next year.
We recently advised an 80-year-old business client to gift his business and real estate to his children before the estate tax limits revert to much lower limits in 2026. We were able to save his estate over $2 Million in potential estate taxes and kept the business from being sold to pay the taxes at the owner's death.
Following are the industries where we have developed significant experience and expertise over our long career:
Banks Book Publishing Retail
Insurance Advertising & Public Relations Manufacturing
Consulting Real Estate Contractors
Estates and Trusts Charities Financial Planners

Bank Valuation
Reports
Our Bank Valuation reports are backed by an analytical process and statistical knowledge that reflects the reality of the Fair Market Value of a bank, including “comps” – not just an 80% of capital calculation.
Benchmarking & Analytics Subscriptions
Complete five year "horizontal and vertical analysis" deep dive report of financial and loan data and fair market value history along with quarterly benchmarking data for any U.S. bank from our extensive historical database.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Consulting
We can serve either side of the M&A transaction – to help a bank choose the right acquisition target to support their strategic growth; or help a targeted bank obtain the most statistically precise fair market value they bring to the deal.
Our Method
At Valulytics™, we compiled a database of 5000+ banks that tracks, trends, conducts “what if” scenarios and compares key performance indicators, ratios and social/economic risk for any bank in our database. We harness this data using our proprietary algorithm to provide consulting and reporting services that let our customers identify the best acquisition targets, establish a statistically precise fair market valuation of their own bank that includes “comps”, and benchmark their bank’s performance against banks that are similar in terms of location, size, portfolio, and features.

This study examines 37 recent community bank mergers with deal values under $700 Million to determine the magnitude of the target bank control premium and the acquiring bank’s excess deal value premium or discount from the transaction.
A secondary objective is to determine whether the Valulytics Fair Market Value algorithm is useful in the community bank merger context.

This study tests the new Valulytics Equal Weighted Community Bank Index (the Valulyics Index) against the five Fisher tests and the three Lo tests of a valid index. Then, we compare the index with the five best known U. S. bank indexes exploring the effect of market capitalization weighting compared to equal weighting on the usefulness of the indexes by smaller regional community banks.
